Mature Market Experts: more mature market news and stats more often – Can Work Help Delay The Onset of Dementia? – Researchers from King’s College in London studied data from more than 1,300 seniors with dementia. After looking at variables such as education, employment and retirement, they found that each extra year of work that a person performed helped delay the onset of dementia by six weeks.

“Another recent report in the journal Psychological Science in the Public Interest found that work, and other forms of intellectual stimulation such as engaging in multi-tasking activities and playing complex video games, help to preserve cognitive function  and are “associated with a reduced risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease in late life.”
